Who is behind Snapfork

One person, not a team and not a company. This page says what that means for you, including the parts that are not flattering.

The person

My name is Oleksandr Trifonov. I write the code, pay for the domain, keep the server running and read what arrives at hello@snapfork.app. Between you and me there is no company, no investor and no support desk — which also means there is nobody to escalate to, and nothing here is staffed.

That spelling is the one Apple will show as the seller of the iPhone application once it is out, taken from the developer account rather than typed here by hand. A second version of a name is a second thing to keep in sync, and nothing would notice if the two drifted apart.

What I am not

I am not a doctor and not a dietitian, and nobody with either training has read this site before you did. That is an admission rather than a disclaimer, and it is the reason everything here works the way it does.

Every number you are shown says where it came from — published work where published work exists, and a plainly labelled estimate of ours where it does not. All of them are listed on the page where the numbers come from, with the weak ones marked as weak.

What the application is and is not, in the sense that matters legally, is written once — in the terms of use — and deliberately not repeated here. Two copies of a warning drift apart, and the copy you happen to read is then the stale one.

What this page does not say

Anything standing in for the person. No invented company, no founder's portrait, no “we” covering for a single pair of hands. The name is given above; everything else usually used to add weight to a page like this one is missing on purpose.

A postal address. That one arrives together with a decision about a legal entity, and the decision has not been taken; inventing an address would be the cheapest lie available and the worst placed. So the gap is left open and written down rather than filled. When there is an address, it appears here and in the policy on the same day.

How to reach me

By email, at hello@snapfork.app. Inside the application there is a “Support” section as well; that one is a conversation rather than a form, which means it is stored, and the privacy policy says exactly what and for how long.
